Uno spazio culturale, metafisico,

tecnologico, armonioso, dedicato

all'arte contemporanea intesa

come way of life.

Contaminazioni, contenuti fusion,

per chi interpreta l'arte come una

necessaria componente del

contemporaneo modus vivendi.

He was born in Tolentino in 1979. He is a museum operator and a photographer for passion.
Thanks to his studies and his practical researches he develops some museoghraphic and ethnographic expertise.
He attended the university in Macerata and graduated in Cultural Anthropology with the thesis “Between legend and representation: the Sibilla and the popular symbolic imaginary in the territories of Sibillini.
“The main subject is the human being in relationship with his environment. The images try to catch the moment in which an emotion is communicated, a look, an expression, a gesture. Everything starts with something that catches my attention. The photos offer an input to meditate but without any central thread. They are the result of different moments during my travels o normal days. I chose the black and white because it underlines the contrasts and let the meaning emerging as a gesture of purification. I want to research the truth to involve the public both esthetically and emotionally.”

«Do we have the right to ignore them just because we have cars, cannons, planes, coca-cola and they don’t? (...) Or do we have the right to oblige them to change their language, religion, habits as missionaries would like to? What do we gain from this? We can exploit them better, nothing else” (Mario Vargas Llosa).

They have a good relationship to the world they live in: a complex system of rituals, prohibitions, habits, handed out to preserve the apparently exuberant nature they depend on, which is actually very fragile. This ritual is kind of a “purification” and “fortification”. The ceremony starts with the catching of a piece of fruit (huiti), which is used to decorate the child’s body. Some essential elements are the presence of the mother and the blessing brought from this mix (Shawi community, Peruvian Amazon)

Yavi, on the frontier between Argentina and Bolivia. It’s an extraordinary isolated little town, it’s a natural wild landscape which can’t be compared to anything else we are used to see.
