The art of portraying the click through all the different shades of the human soul ?. Giovan Battista D'Achille leads through the medium of photography, an investigation of human nature in all its nuances and expressions, with all its limitations and contradictions, portraying extraordinarily beautiful creatures included in size from a soft tone. Keen observer and explorer of the human soul, Giovan Battista depicts the universe of those who live in their emotions so intense. In his intimate shots filtered from its end and aesthetic sensibility steeped in a refined sensuality, are presented, with a delicacy unique color, different emotional situations. I talked to John the Baptist's poetics of his shots and his upcoming projects. What stories through your photos? My main 'urgency' has always been to highlight sensitivity and intensity, commercial photography rarely focuses on this because we try a more powerful and provocative at the expense of humanity. I am interested in the inner life, the stories are pretexts: in this collaboration with the people portrayed is key. I do not care that a picture can be technically imperfect, it is important to communicate what is hidden in the human. If there is one message is to learn to recognize themselves, away from chaos. Do you like different elements to interpose between you and the photographed subject, such as broken glass, branches, leaves, etc.. How important these devices in your photo? I choose settings that speak of the person portrayed is a way of telling the mysterious and fascinating full of symbolic meanings. It seems that with some particular models (Marcello, Lorenzo) you like recreating environments and scenery "of the past, playing with literary references and quotations. How important is the feeling that you fail to establish a model? I refer to the complicity that helps to "live" these scenes with another model that might not have the same impact but remain more "built", less spontaneous. In my opinion the photographer must follow their own path, noticing what is happening around, but not to be swayed by the thought and the dominant fashion. Must inaugurate trends. My requirement is to remove the photos from the context of the time, then join the back and other elements present, but the image has to speak their own language. The model, if you can guess what I'm trying to pull out, can feel free to express things that normally conceals or leaves unsaid. These guys you mentioned do not ask me why I never take a picture, they know my needs and they trust me. Some compositions, therefore, arise spontaneously. Some advance on your next project? I have constant projects, I would like to make a book about the statues that seem alive, I've done hundreds and hundreds of shots and I just have to find the right publisher. I have a project with Glenda Cassella, an expert in writing, on portraits of famous graffiti artists, then a short exhibition titled Strange italian beauty, played on the sharp black and white portraits of some singular. Each project is linked to my mystery and the essence of being human.
