The indefatigable attitude to experimentation is the hallmark of the work of Svitlana Grebenyuk that arrives in Rome with a personal portrait. Svitlana Grebenyuk is an artist of Ukrainian origin who lives and works in Milan. The portrait appears as the more familiar territory to her, in black and white portraits, the protagonists are famous men of the past: their features appear thinned and almost canceled. A vibrant range of colors, instead, characterizes the portraits of animals. Svitlana says that's his style often need to change, to grow with each new project. Even so, he uses from time to time in different languages and has already launched an exciting new project in 3D. In March, you can see the works of Svitlana Grebenyuk the First Gallery in Rome. The staff called Potrait will be inaugurated on March 3 at 18:30. I spoke with Svitlana of his artistic research. In the monochrome paintings appear sometimes to have suffered cancellations, are disclosed in the mid ... The intent, in my artistic work, is to awaken the conscience and memory of the observer. The paintings in black and white are connected to a torment, as depict faces worn by time and evoke the superficial relationships that we establish today that do not allow to remember who we are and what we do. In the twenty-first century, these faces seem almost anesthetized, but I try to remove the veil in the hope that we can get to digging a pure soul, although atrophied and buried under layers of habits and patterns imposed. I realize that what I try to delete in my paintings, in fact, is the time: it is a work of purification and approach that allows you to imagine that face painting can be to anyone ... We are similar but hard to accept. This project will have a sequel? In fact, now I'm interested in different subjects. The work in black and white to the past, it was a real sull'egocentrismo and, more generally, on European society today I think is consumed, and perhaps it is even more of a "society" in the true sense of the word but a set of microcosms characterized by a deep loneliness. The loneliness, the fragmented, the social disease, all of which are already well described, for example, the Cubists: all to pieces, like a broken vase. Even my work was based on fragmentary. What were your main inspirations? And how did you come to your own, unique way of painting? I do not want to have a style, as this would prevent me from growing. Instead, I want to live my experience growing and changing every second as it happens in nature, in life, just try to stay abreast with the times. Upcoming projects? Exhibitions? Among the upcoming projects is the construction of a "paradise", a symbolic place "built" in 3D. In addition, exhibitions, festivals and entertainment. I hope to bring smiles.
